Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what is not allowed on Family Legacy. It protects families, private data, infrastructure, and the integrity of the product.

Using Family Legacy means you agree not to misuse the platform or help others misuse it.

Spam

Do not use invitations, feed posts, comments, announcements, contact forms, or any other feature to send spam, scams, phishing messages, or unwanted promotional content.

Family Legacy is for family connection and preservation, not bulk messaging.

Malware

Do not upload malware, viruses, malicious scripts, credential stealers, or files designed to harm devices, users, or services.

Do not use uploaded files, links, or messages to trick users into installing harmful software.

Automation abuse

Do not overload Family Legacy with abusive automation, scraping, account creation, invite generation, file uploads, or repeated requests.

Reasonable personal use and normal family collaboration are allowed. Activity that harms reliability or security is not.

Unauthorized access

Do not attempt to access another family's workspace, files, database records, invite tokens, storage paths, or account sessions without permission.

Do not probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, authorization, RLS policies, storage policies, or route protection.

Illegal uploads

Do not upload illegal content, stolen records, exploitative material, or documents that you do not have a lawful right to store or share.

Family Legacy may remove content or suspend access if uploads create legal, safety, or security risk.

Copyright infringement

Only upload photos, videos, audio, documents, stories, and other materials that you own or have permission to use.

If a copyright concern is raised, Family Legacy may remove the content while the issue is reviewed.

Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, invite cancellation, workspace restrictions, account suspension, or termination.

Serious abuse may be reported to infrastructure providers, payment providers, or legal authorities when appropriate.
